POST-PROCEDURE
Once the surgery is completed, you will need to adhere to certain guidelines for a quick and complete recovery:
What to expect:

Do not try to breathe through the nose

It is important to take medications as prescribed by the doctor

You may get out of bed to go to the bathroom with assistance, but not unaided

A light pack will be placed in the nostrils, which will be removed after 24 hours

Cold gauze pads placed over the eyes will help to reduce any swelling that may occur

Moderate bleeding from the nose is normal, the gauze dressing will collect the blood
-
The outside of the nostrils may be cleansed with cotton bud applicators saturated with either water or vaseline
